Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kim Jina will attend the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development to be held in Sevilla, Spain, from June 30 to July 3.

The 4th International Conference on Financing for Development is a high-level UN-hosted meeting to be convened for the first time in ten years since the 3rd Conference in 2015. High-level representatives from various countries will participate in the meeting to discuss ways to expand development financing and enhance its effective use.

In her keynote remarks at the Conference, Vice Minister Kim will introduce the direction of the new Korean government’s development cooperation policy, and express Korea’s commitment to contributing to the Global South and the implementation of the international community’s Sustainable Development Goals.
