양국은 민주주의와 시장경제라는 공통의 가치를 바탕으로 오랜 시간 협력의 기반을 공고히 다져왔습니다. 특히 1990년대부터 인도에 진출한 우리 기업들은 인도의 경제 발전과 산업 고도화에 기여하며 양국 간 경제협력의 지평을 넓혀 왔습니다.

이번 정상회담은 한-인도 협력관계를 한 단계 도약시키기 위한 구체적이고 실질적인 방안을 논의하는 자리였습니다. 우리는 조선, 금융, AI, 방위산업 등 전략적 핵심 분야에서 협력을 심화하고, 첨단 기술과 혁신을 토대로 새로운 성장의 기회를 함께 창출해 나가기로 뜻을 모았습니다.

또한 공급망 안정, 디지털 전환, 청정에너지 등 변화하는 글로벌 환경에 공동으로 대응하기 위한 방안에 대해 폭넓은 의견을 나눴습니다. 글로벌 불확실성이 확대되는 상황 속, 한국과 인도와 같은 책임 있는 중견국의 협력이 그 어느 때보다 중요하다는 점도 다시금 확인했습니다.

최근 양국 국민 간 문화와 교육, 인적 교류가 활발해지면서 서로의 삶과 문화를 자연스럽게 공유하고 있는 점 역시 매우 뜻깊게 생각합니다.

우리 두 나라는 그동안 함께 쌓아온 신뢰와 우정을 기반해 더 밝은 미래를 함께 열어갈 것입니다. 양국 모두 높은 성장 잠재력과 상호 보완적인 산업 구조를 지닌 만큼, 서로에게 든든한 동반자가 되리라 확신합니다.

무엇보다 모디 총리님과 인도 국민 여러분께서 보내주신 따뜻한 환대에 깊은 감사를 전합니다. 앞으로도 양국이 번영과 평화를 함께 이루는 동반자로서 지속적으로 협력해 나가길 기대합니다.

〈Korea and India: Walking Together Toward a Better Future〉

This year marks the 11th anniversary of the establishment of the Special Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Korea and India.

Grounded in our shared values of democracy and a market economy, our two countries have long strengthened the foundations of our cooperation. Since the 1990s, Korean companies that have established a presence in India have contributed meaningfully to India's economic growth and industrial development, while also broadening the scope of our bilateral economic partnership.

This summit provided a valuable opportunity to explore concrete and practical ways to elevate Korea–India partnership to the next level. We agreed to deepen cooperation across key strategic sectors—including shipbuilding, finance, artificial intelligence, and defense—and to jointly create new engines of growth driven by advanced technologies and innovation.

We also held in-depth discussions on how to respond together to a rapidly evolving global landscape, including supply chain stability, digital transformation, and clean energy. At a time of increasing global uncertainty, we reaffirmed that cooperation between responsible middle powers such as Korea and India is more vital than ever.

It is particularly meaningful to see that vibrant exchanges in culture, education, and people-to-people engagement are bringing our citizens closer together, fostering a deeper mutual understanding of each other’s societies and ways of life.

Building on the trust and friendship we have cultivated over the years, our two nations will continue to move forward together toward a brighter future. With our strong growth potential and complementary economic structures, I am confident that Korea and India will remain reliable and enduring partners.

Finally, I extend my sincere appreciation to Prime Minister Modi and the people of India for their warm hospitality. I look forward to further strengthening our cooperation in pursuit of shared prosperity and peace.
